I’m so excited that the Summer Article Challenge starts tomorrow. Suzanne and I have been joking that when all is said and done, she and I will be the only ones left without a Golden PJs award. Well, not this time! I’m determined that I’m going to get my 30 articles written and submitted by the end of September, and I know I can do it.

We’ve already got 24 people signed up for the Challenge. Isn’t that amazing? Last time around, we had only 18 all together, and we’ve already surpassed that before it’s even begun.

My favorite part of the Challenge is getting to know the participants and sharing our advice and support through the L-K Article Challenge YahooGroup. If you’re a Challenge participant and you haven’t yet received an invitation to join the YahooGroup, please e-mail me and I’ll get it to you ASAP.

Stephenie Hovland, Winner of the Golden PJs Award for the Lieurance-King Spring Article Challenge 2007

The Lieurance-King Spring Article Challenge lasted from May 1st to June 30th of this year. Eighteen writers accepted the challenge, but only one met the challenge by completing 30 articles for article directories during this time.

Here’s a press release that went out at the end of our first quarterly challenge this year, The Lieurance-King New Year’s Article Challenge, when we presented several writers with the Golden PJs Award:

On Wednesday, April 4, 2007, The Working Writer’s Coach, Suzanne Lieurance presented Golden PJs awards to the participants and winners of the Lieurance-King 2007 New Year’s Article Challenge. Since the participants do not live in close proximity to one another, the awards were presented virtually in a teleconference arranged through www.freeconference.com.

Twenty-four writers began the article writing challenge on February 1, 2007, with a goal to each write 30 articles before March 31, 2007. Other writers continued to join the race even after Yvonne Perry, owner of Nashville-based Write On! Creative Writing Services, had reached her goal and secured her place in the winner’s circle beside second and third runner-ups, Hal Manogue and Kate Garvey. Keep Reading »
