Day 17 - Today’s Tip for Article Marketing!

Welcome to Day 17 of the Lieurance-King Summer Article Challenge!

Did you know that many of the article directories, like ezinearticles.com, also accept press releases (they’re in a different category from the articles, though, so be sure to submit your press releases in the appropriate spot)?

Get the news outStart promoting yourself through press releases as well as articles for article directories.

And, here’s another tip - once a magazine picks up your press release, post something about it on your blog - to give some online mention (and thanks) to this publication. That’s one more way to promote yourself while promoting others (the magazine that featured you).

To come up with a press release, just think of something newsworthy about your writing or writing business.

Are you launching a new website or blog?

Turn that information into an exciting press release.

Have you recently started a new podcast, radio show, or ezine?

Let the media know by writing a press release about it.

Are you offering a new product - an ebook or CD?

That’s worthy of a press release, too.

A good way to get the feel for writing a press release is to go to www.prweb.com and read some of the thousands of press releases that are posted there every day.

Try it.

This is interesting Suzanne. I just did go to PRweb yesterday because I am writing a press release for a friend and this website has examples and help for any type of press release you desire.

I also ran across another site at http://www.hodrw.com/writingpressrelease.htm
This is a page from the Heart of Denver Romance Writers website. The author of the article is Su Wright and all of her information is at the end. To me, this article is plain and not complicated for someone who is new to press release writing.
