Welcome to Day 29 of the Lieurance-King Summer Article Challenge.
Here’s today’s tip:
Don’t Compare Yourself with Others or Judge Yourself.
When we start these article challenges, there are always a few people who seem to meet the challenge in a matter of days, and that’s wonderful.
But there are other writers who aren’t so prolific.
They notice the writers who do crank out 30 to 40 articles in a matter of days, and they start to compare themselves to these writers.
In fact, they don’t just compare themselves to these other writers, they judge themselves against these other writers.
And that is definitely NOT “a good thing.”
While we ARE encouraging everyone who accepts this article challenge to TRY to write 30 new articles within a two month period, our main intention is to encourage everyone to learn how to effectively use article writing as a marketing tool.
That means you should push yourself to write articles on a regular basis.
You’ll get better and better at writing articles if you do.
Plus, you’ll find your articles (and your name and links back to your sites) all over the Internet.
But don’t judge yourself and feel you’re lacking if you can’t meet the challenge.
Just do the best you can.
Enjoy the process as you learn new information, practice your writing skills, and network with other writers.

Great advice, everyone works at a different pace.
My first 30 articles to EzineArticles took me about 4 months. My latest 30 took about 15 days.
The more you write, the easier it becomes to write.
I could double this output if I went for minimum word count and content, but that’s not what I want for my readers and subscribers.
Hardcore professional article marketers on EA submit dozens every day.
If through this LK Challenge you sign up to EzineArticles and submit your first article, that’s a brilliant step and well worth being a part of the challenge group for.
Good luck everyone in the rest of the challenge…

Great article!
But I’d like to add one thing. And it is something this writer learned the hard way. The worst thing a writer can do is compare her/himself to another writer. By divorcing myself from the herd, going off line, spending time away from the chatter and clatter of internet broo-ha-ha, is this writer’s greatest lesson learned. As Dr. Phil says, It’s okay…
Spending time discovering who I am, rather than what the other person is doing and what their goal is is what it’s all about, for me. It’s what I believe, will take this writer to where she is meant to be a lot quicker than racing off with a half-inked pen to reach top ten, top fifty, top 100. My time will come when it is my time, not one teensy millisecond sooner. Until then, I’ll fingerhug my pen, keep reading, writing, taking in, at my speed, what is necessary to get me where I need to be to reach my goal. And it doesn’t bother me one Izzy poop I’m tailing the pack. Slow and steady will get me where it is I want to go.
So write something. Go ahead. I dare you.
Have a great day!
