Congratulations again to our winning Challengers! We are so proud of you, and we’re also proud of everyone who participated. Whether you wrote one article or 100, accepting the LK Fall Article Challenge was a step toward greater success in your writing career.

The winners will receive their Golden PJs via e-mail later this week. Because everything is so hectic with the holidays coming up, and because attendance has been low lately, we’re going to forgo the tele-ceremony this time around and instead do a KILLER kick-off for the New Year’s Article Challenge.

The next Challenge will kick off on January 17 and run through February 19, and you’ll be challenged to write 30 articles to earn a Golden PJs. But this time around, with so many experienced article marketers in the group, we’re going to emphasize the strategy behind article marketing and how you can monetize your efforts. And that, my lovelies, is the whole point! Writing articles is fun, but we want to get paid, too, not just write for free. :] We’ll help you figure out how to best use your existing and new articles to make some moolah and move your writing career forward.

Welcome to the Lieurance-King Summer Article Challenge! We’re so glad you’ve decided to join us.

This is Day 1, so it’s time to get started if we’re going to reach our goal of writing 30 new articles by September 30th.

If you haven’t already done so, register for our f.ree 21-day minicourse called “Tips for Effective Article Marketing” at the top right corner of this page, and you’ll find out that one of the easiest ways to get started with at least a few articles is to make a list of topics you want to write about. Then, turn those topics into article titles.

Also, remember that writing short articles - around 400 to 500 words - are all you need for article marketing. You don’t need to write a 2,000-word article that involves a lot of research. Start by writing on topics you already know something about.

And, always keep in mind what you want to accomplish with these articles. Your articles will help establish you as an expert in some area - so, just what area(s) do you want that to be?

When you accept the challenge you have the option of joining our e-mail discussion list (via Yahoo! Groups), so you can ask questions, offer suggestions or encouragement to other writers, and just check in at the end of each day to share your progress with each other. So we hope you will sign up for the discussion list if you haven’t already done so. Stephenie Hovland, Winner of the Golden PJs Award for the Lieurance-King Spring Article Challenge 2007

The Lieurance-King Spring Article Challenge lasted from May 1st to June 30th of this year. Eighteen writers accepted the challenge, but only one met the challenge by completing 30 articles for article directories during this time.
